Application

Patching and connecting cords for voice, Category 3 rated network channel connections and cross-connects up to 16MHz or 10 Mbps data transmission. 25-pair assemblies provide the same connectivity as six four pair cables, reducing installation time and hassle.

Standards Compliance

Meets all applicable standards: complies with all TIA/EIA-568-A requirements: and meets FCC Part 68. Assembled per latest draft of Technical Systems Bulletin (TSB) ‘Transmission Specifications for UTP Patch Cords’, TIA/EIA PN-2948.

Physical Specifications

Materials: 7/23, 24 awg, Category 3 stranded UTP, Standard unshielded, RJ-21, 50-position 50 conductor Telco plug with screwlock hardware, available with 90º, 180º or 110º right angle hood.

Typical Specification

The patch cords shall provide Category 3 performance for cross connecting Category 3 equipment and/or backbone cables to high performance Category 3 horizontal cable systems. The patch cords shall be 7/32 24 awg stranded UTP, with a standard 50 position Telco plug on each end. The cords shall be available in any length.

The cords must meet the requirements of TIA/EIA-568-A and be assembled per the latest TIA/EIA draft TSB for ‘Transmission Specifications for UTP Patch Cords’. Assembly procedures dictating constant quality management regulated by 100% finished product verification prior to shipment. The manufacturer shall provide a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
